Simply put: Venom is colored black. In comics the dark blue areas are highlights. They are used to give the character depth and a sense of weight. They use blue because normally shadows and depth are inked in black... and black doesn't show up on black.

Las Vegas is the most populous city, in the U.S State of Nevada; and the self proclaimed "Entertainment Capital of the World". This bustling city was developed in an arid basin, surrounded by dry mountains; and a rocky and dusty landscape. Nevertheless, within the city of Las Vegas you will discover lush lawns, trees, palatial greenery; and a haven for pests. The introduction of humans, homes and innovation to the desert Las Vegas region, has created an environment that supports the growth, development and spread of Las Vegas pest control problems. The increase in water and food sources, coupled with hot summers and moderate winters; has contributed significantly, to the need for Las Vegas pest control.
Pest control problems, like spiders and ants, cause more damage to real estate in the United States; than fires and storms combined. Varying weather and other climatic factors, through out the United States; create pockets of specialized pest problems. In the State of Nevada, pest control specialists battle highly aggressive pests; like the Red Imported Fire Ant and Black Widow spider. These tiny pests bite and inflict painful skin welts and even death; with their toxin.
The Red Imported Fire Ant was accidentally introduced into the United States through a seaport in Mobile, Alabama. Cargo ships from Brazil, docking in Mobile, unloaded goods that were infested with the ants. Since that time, they have spread from Alabama to almost every state of the American South; from Texas to Maryland. Their mound-building activity has damaged plant roots, lead to crop loss, and interfered with mechanical cultivation. It is not uncommon for fire ant mounds to appear suddenly in a rural/suburban yard or field. The Red Imported Fire Ant's sting is rarely life-threatening to humans, however 80 deaths have been documented; as of 2006. Moreover, one Queen Imported Fire Ant can produce 1,600 new ant eggs each day; creating major concerns for Las Vegas pest control.
Nevada spider pests include the Black Widow spider, Nevada Orb spider, Jumping spider, and Wolf spider. The female Black Widow's bite is particularly harmful to humans (males almost never bite humans), and the toxic venom injection from these pests; can be lethal. It is said that Black Widow spiders will avoid human dwellings, but are more common in outhouses and garages. Nevertheless, a spider pest infestation is not easily corrected, and as such, Las Vegas pest control strategies must employ technology and solutions; developed in Universities across the United States. An educated and focused strategy, is a Las Vegas homeowner's best recourse.
The environment surrounding Las Vegas is dominated by desert vegetation and some wildlife; and as such, is not ideal for pests. The pest invaders are drawn to the abundant, lush garden oasis; in Nevada's most populous city. In Las Vegas, increased efforts to address water resource issues, have inspired a movement; that encourages xeriscapes, instead of traditional lawns. Xerogardening reduces- and sometimes eliminates, the need for supplemental irrigation; and as such, will generously support the decline of Las Vegas pest control problems.
The introduction of humans, homes and innovation to the desert Las Vegas region, has created an environment that supports the growth, development and spread of Las Vegas pest control problems; and the need for dependable pest control solutions.
