In the new-ish Justice League of America series, why do they have such a difficult time picking the team?
Superman, Batman, and Wonderwoman spend multiple issues trying to figure out who should be on the team (including voting whether or not they want to have the other two people voting on the team). After all the battles they've been through together, shouldn't it be fairly obvious?
Because of everything they went through in Identity Crisis and the events that lead to Infinite Crisis, trust became a big issue. Since Superman, Batman, and Wonderwoman all decided the team needed to disband after Identity Crisis, because of all of the issues with trust, there was no Justice League. There were attempts to hold it together, but without the big three there, the team completely fell apart in the aftermath of Crisis of the Conscience.
Why did it take so long to put the team back together? Because, it broke so many times before, the big three, when they decided they needed to fix it since they did take it apart, wanted to make sure it was a team that they could all work with and could trust all of the members on it.
Why it was drawn out like it was over several issues was also to make the creation more dramatic than it had been in the past. This way, it did not make light of the fact that the team did break apart over a lot of bad memories.
The new team is balanced with some new blood, and old veterans, as well as many reservists that can be called up. This also served the purpose of introducing new readers into the series, and was the way the new author likes to write his stories.
When my emotions feel like are going to spill out of your mouth at any moment, I find myself double checking everything I say or do before I say or do it.
Wherever I am and whatever I am doing I often feel an overwhelming desire to just explode from the mouth or from the pen, and fight against the injustice I see going on around me. It is blatant and disgusting, and yet like many others there are times when even I am afraid to speak the truth openly in fear of consequences beyond my control.
How so many people living in Jersey who have suffered the most horrendous abuse as children in the island at the hands of many establishment are homes like 'Haut de la Garenne' have the guts and true grit to carry on is quite extraordinary brave and they are an example to us all, I take my hat off to them.
For those of you who don't already know, Jersey is run by a dictatorship of elite and there are claims that the island's authorities have hindered the police investigation. Its former head of the Police investigation of 'Haut de la Garenne', Lenny Harper, has said it was "political hostility" to the wider inquiry which caused delays in gathering evidence.
Every obstacle conceivable appears to have been put into place by what is known as the Jersey Elite Establishment party to cover up what has happened in the island, and as a direct result of their actions there are cases against child abusers in Jersey which the Jersey Police have been prevented from doing their job and bring prosecutions against. Jersey's Attorney general rules out prosecution saying there was 'significant conflict of evidence' and the Jersey Police are having their hands tied by a system which is broken and considered to be unjust by many of the islands residents.
There is a revolting culture of concealment of too many decades of child abuse. The proper administration of justice in Jersey is not being seen to be done, the islands media in general including the BBC are blatantly showing bias in favour of Jersey's Elite Establishment Party, and if it wasn't for some of the international media there wouldn't have been any fair reporting by the media on the situation at all. The world would have been kept in the dark forever, and the dirty goings on brushed under the carpet.
On Friday the 14th of November 2008 at a press conference the Howard League report is to be published. I do hope the worlds press will be attending so some real investigative journalistic reporting will be published.
