It seems that there might be an exchange of property purchase in progress across the Canadian border. On the one hand Canadians are buying over the border in the U.S., and on the other hand Americans are opting to buy the market on a stronger Canadian realty.

Although contradictory the two scenarios can make sound financial sense, according to the logical path you follow. According to figures from the American Dollar Index, the U.S. dollar dropped to its lowest rating since the index began in the seventies.
