Many times, when people hear the expression mobile spy software, they tend to think of cracking secrets and hacking into complex security systems. You know, something that James Bond would do.
Other people think of mobile spy software as an invasion of privacy and a violation of civil rights. Something that is mischievous and evil and looked down upon. You know, something Dick Cheney would do.
Maybe it's all the hype we attach to the word "spy" due to the many spies movies we've seen over the years. However, it takes very little research to understand what mobile spy software is about.
First of all, mobile spy software wasn't designed as an illegal product. It's sold legally and under the protection of local and international laws. In fact, before you can purchase it, you need to agree that you won't be using it for illegal purposes and that the seller will cooperate with law enforcement agencies if you are found using it for illegal purposes. And if the site you are getting it from doesn't even have a legal announcement about it, then you're probably being scammed into buying something else.
Mobile spy software is usually bought for one of two reasons: family member supervision and employee supervision. And in fact, there's no reason to be secret about it. That alone throws the whole "undercover spying" idea out the window.
For example, let's say that you have several sales agents and you provide them with mobile phones so that they can be in contact with customers constantly. If you've been in this situation, you know that setting this up isn't cheap for you or your company. You don't want all that money to be spent on personal long distance calls to your employee's relatives who live in another state.
Also, when you give an assignment to an employee, you don't want him to spend 1 hour on it and then 2 hours stopping for coffee with a friend on his way back to the office.
These situations and more can be avoided if you just get mobile spy software on your employee's mobile. You can even tell him or her that the activity on that mobile is being monitored. Most employees will find this reason enough to use the company's time and money on the company's behalf. And if there's one that doesn't believe you, he or she can be caught right away, creating a precedent for the future.
Of course, just because you install mobile spy software on the company's mobiles doesn't mean that your employees can't communicate with their family or friends or spend time with them; just not on your company's time and money.
