Don't Confuse Julian Edelman With Wes Welker
Despite what every football voice in the country seems to be saying, Julian Edelman is not Wes Welker. He is not the "reincarnation of Wes Welker," as CBS analyst Solomon Wilcots put it, nor is he a "mini-Wes Welker," as one late-night sportscaster called him. Even esteemed NFL writer Peter King joined the fray, writing that Edelman is "a Welker clone" with "the same body type, the same frenetic ...

Excessive heat is the enemy of computer parts. Desktops have the benefit of lots of open space for several fans. This makes the dissipation of heat so much simpler. However, it is more difficult when you are dealing with a laptop. There are only a few ways to lower the temperature of your laptop.
For some reason, laptops are usually built with intake or outtake ventilation on the bottom. Should these vents become blocked with comforters, thick carpets or even your legs, the fans will not be able to pull heat away from the delicate components and the laptop will begin to overheat. Effectively, this means laptop fans will not be able to circulate air when resting in your lap. While a little extra heat every once in a while won't instantly permanently damage your computer, this will cause damage to the delicate parts over time.
Some laptop cooling issues aren't caused by obstructed vents, although it is the most common cause. Using your laptop in an excessively hot environment can cause internal heating issues. It's wise not to operate your laptop on a hot surface like a metal table out in the sun or next to a hot stove. Keeping laptops off hot surfaces and away from heat sources are two easy ways to reduce overheating problems caused by environmental issues.
A few companies sell stands and cooling pads for laptops. As long as the fans are functioning properly in such a device, you could easily sit your laptop in your lap with a cooling pad. A notebook stand safely holds up your laptop to allow for better air circulation. A cooling pad is a powered device that uses fans to cool your notebook. A cooling pad will typically connect to your laptop for power. They can also have power adapters that plug into a typical wall socket. These pads contain fans that will help cool the computer. The fans will either draw air to or from the laptop. You will want to choose a fan configuration that cooperates with the built-in fans on your machine. You can find cooling pads made with plastic or aluminum. Since it draws heat away from your laptop, aluminum is the preferred material.
However, if you are dealing with a recurring overheating problem, you will likely need a more professional solution. Like any part of your laptop, the internal fans can fail. If your laptop suddenly develops a heating problem that it didn't in the past, a broken fan could be the cause. Don't attempt to fix this yourself: opening up your laptop can void the warranty and you could damage the very delicate hardware. Another complex issue that can arise is that Sometimes the thermal paste on the inside the laptop will stop functioning properly. In this case, new thermal paste should be applied. Again, this is not something that a novice user should attempt. This requires taking the laptop apart for serious work.
Heat is very bad for a laptop. Due to their compact design, it is complicated to achieve good airflow in these portable systems. This means that a laptop's operating temperatures should be checked from time to time. This will let you know if any temperature problems are developing. If you see extremely high temperatures, you should have it serviced as soon as possible. This will significantly extend the lifespan of your hardware. You should be able to find the proper temperature of your laptop online. You can use a sensor monitoring program to check that your components are operating at a safe level.
