Where to find original Grimm's fairy tales?
I heard the original Grimm's fairy tales were capricious and often cruel. Then, they decided to fix it and it became primly moral. I'm curious where I can find the original story in English?
the originial of course are in german
so there are several different english translations/ retellings
the guttenburg online free library has several early english grimm books
use the key word search for author
first search for the last name Grimm
then try searching each brother's name
Jacob Grimm
Wilhelm Grimm
as some book titles are listed under just the last name
and some under one brother and not the other.
