Do you need to get rid of your comics fast? Are those old comics books you've collected for years taking up precious space? Or has the time finally come for you to finally get rid of them.

Don't trash them. You might have an Iron Man #1 issue or a rare Batman comic. Instead, follow these five simple steps.

Step 4: Check the Overstreet or Wizard price guide to get a ballpark estimate of the value of the comics you have. You can generally pick one of these price guides up or browse through one of them at your local bookstore.

Step 5: Take your comics to your local comic book shop and sell them! Check your local yellow pages under comic books and find a local dealer. If you're able to get 10% of what your comics are worth, that's about all you can expect. Take the money and run!

However, If you have more time, and willing to spend a little more time listing your comics for sale you can get a lot more than just 10% of what you're comics are really worth -- either selling them online, at local comic conventions, through newspaper ads or through a variety of other methods. Also, if you have some real rare, hard-to-find, terrific condition comics...resist the urge to sell them quickly... it's worth taking a little more time to find the buyer who will give you good value for these comics.
