Batman Cacophony
Batman Cacophony
Questions for Batman & Detective Comics readers?
1) Is there a DC equivalent to Marvel Zombies? I wanna see Zombie Batman!
2) What are the best Riddler, Two-Face, & Scarecrow stories?
3) What issues have Batman questioning his own sanity, like where he starts seeing things & hearing voices in his head? (like Bat-Mite).
4) Are Batman: Dark Detective, Batman: Secrets, Batman: Inferno, & Book of the Fate any good?
5) Are Batman: Cacophony & Batman: Confidential taking place entirely in the past, or are they Elseworlds? The sure don't seem like Elseworlds, but they can't be taking place at the same time as RIP & Final Crisis.
6) What issues does the Riddler show off his tattoos?
No DC has not followed marvel with the zombies yet. but i'm sure they will
To be honest I wouldnt be able to tell you the issue numbers

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work?
Affiliate marketing seems simple on the surface, yet is quite intricate if you plan on actually making money with it. The following article will briefly explain affiliate marketing, and will continue to explain why most people who take up affiliate marketing lose money.
So how does affiliate marketing work? As a start, search for "dvd" on Google. You see those ads on the right hand side of the page? Those are affiliate links. Companies that sell products on the internet pay people to sell their products for them. Those ads that you see on the right hand side of the page are placed by people who are selling products for some company. Someone clicks on the link, and then if that person buys something, the person who put up the ad gets a percentage of the purchase amount. Just about any company that sells products on the internet has an affiliate program.
When you advertise on say Google, you are paying Google to place your ads for you. This is where things get more complex than they seem. When you place an ad with Google, you choose which keywords you want your ad to appear for. Let's use selling dvd's as an example. Say you want to sell a Batman dvd. You can have it so your ad comes up when someone searches for "dvd", "batman dvd", "i want to buy dvd's", etc... there are endless possibilities. You will pay a different price for each keyword (note you only pay for a keyword when someone searches for your keyword and then ALSO clicks on your ad). Dvd is a very popular keyword as you can imagine, and hence will cost you more than say "i want to buy dvd's". Essentially you want your ad to come up for lesser-used low-cost keywords which a lot of people search for, but which a lot of people aren't using to market. Problem one in affiliate marketing lies in finding these cheap keywords.
Problem two lies in creating ads which people will click on. Once again, this is more complex than it seems. You want someone to click on your ad and buy something. If they don't buy something, you're wasting your money. You don't want someone who is simply researching products to click on your ad for researching purposes. Moreover, if you're marketing with Google, Google rewards you for placing relevant ads buy allowing you to place them for less money. For example let's say you have an ad up and 1 out of 100 people click on it. Let's also say you have another ad and 10 out of 100 people click on it. This second ad has a much higher click through rate (percentage of people who search for your term and click on your link). Google rewards you highly for having ads with high click through rates. So essentially, if you know what you're doing, you can place ads on Google for cheaper while also getting more clicks. You can lower your marketing costs significantly while also increasing your sales. Affiliate marketing statistics are not good, and that's because most people who jump into it do not know the basics of what they're doing.
This article merely scratches the surface of affiliate marketing. I would personally recommend Perry Marshall's Definitive Guide to Affiliate Marketing if you're planning on starting in this business (no I will not be getting a commission for any sales of this). It's a 200 something page book, so as you can see there's more to it than there seems.
So how does affiliate marketing work? Hopefully my article helped explain some of the basics.
Many thanks for reading our Batman Cacophony article
