why is my she barking!!Help! Can't sleep at night!?
My dog keeps on barking at strangers! I can't make her stop for some reason anymore! Any Ideas? I have a book from the library that totally didn't help AT ALL! Also, she keeps on making weird noises at night when she sleeps! I don't think she is snoring though.....
In a book they did talk about those stuff but I need to know why why is she barking? how can I stop it. Also, they told me not to yell to a dog thats barking. Well now I just need to know how you make her stop.
I can't hit her! She won't like me! I onced hit her before but she doesn't stop though..
You could use a strict, firm voice and say, "NO." If she continues to do it, slap your dog lightly (but not hard, because that would be considered abusive) and then move her away from the stranger. Most dogs naturally bark at strangers because they are gladly trying to protect you ^^
An even better tecnique is to teach her to stop barking. When she barks at strangers, tell her "NO" until she stops. When it is silent for at least 10 seconds, give her a treat. Continue to do this for a while and she'll eventually stop... unless she's a very slow learner.
